Ashleigh VerdierAshleigh Verdier is a 24-year-old recent graduate of Western Michigan University and is a devoted foodie. She graduated in April 2009 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Food Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in Practical Writing. Previously she attained a culinary arts and hospitality certification from Oakland Technical Schools. She is currently seeking employment as a sales and marketing professional with an amazing food or beverage company and is open to positions in any city.

Ashleigh enjoys writing about all things food related. She created this website to share her food adventures, ideas, and stories with other food lovers. As a college student she has learned how to create delicious dishes with inexpensive price tags, how to travel on a budget, and where to find the best books, magazines, and products.

She was raised in Michigan where her family has lived for generations. Ashleigh currently lives in Maryland, near Washington D.C., where she works as a Marketing Associate for Albert Uster Imports, one of the premier pastry importers in the US. She was the weekly food columnist for The Western Herald from 2006 - 2008.

Personal Note:

I have to give praise where it's deserved, and in the making of this site there is a lot of it deserved.

First of all, I have to thank Kelly Habermehl for her excellent web design skills, without her knowledge this site would have never been possible, she is invaluable to me. Check out some of her other projects at her site http://www.khabermehl.com.

Danielle Giza is a recent graduate from Western Michigan University in the Graphic Design Program. I appreciate all her hard work and extreme attention to detail in the design of the Streets And Eats logo. Look for her work all over Kalamazoo in posters, logos, and artwork

Alas, I cannot except total responsibility for the naming of this site, Keith Persons did some hardcore brainstorming to help me come up with such a perfect name. Without him I would probably still be deciding on a URL.

Lastly, I have to thank my friends and family for their moral and emotional support in creating this site. I wouldn't have had the guts to do this without them.

I love all you fabulous people!
